2012 Recognitions and Troop Profit
You will love our “What Can A Cookie Do?” themed recognition plan! The coolest part about this year’s recognition plan is that everything—with the exception of the Participation Certificate—is cumulative. Yes, this also means that Cookie Dough is cumulative! Plus, one other great aspect of this year’s recognition plan is that you will no longer have to make choices between one item or another. At certain recognition levels you will see bundled items rather than choosing between items!
What’s New and Exciting?
100+ Box Level: Gel Pen Pack AND 100th Anniversary Patch
This level is new to our recognition plan, and it celebrates Girl Scout’s 100th Anniversary. Any girl that sells 100 or more boxes of cookies will receive a gel pen pack and a specialized 100th Anniversary patch. This patch will be customized and unique to Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, Inc. It’s one-of-a-kind!
500+ Box Level: Horseback Trail Ride, Super Patch, AND $20 Cookie Dough
Back by popular demand! Girls who sell 500 or more boxes of cookies will receive a horseback trail ride gift certificate to most of the GSNWGL approved horse stables. A list of approved horse stables can be found on our website here.
600+ Box Level: Camp Trefoil AND $20 Cookie Dough
Enjoy a three-day camp program at Camp Birch Trails in June specially hosted for girls who reach 600 or more boxes of cookies sold! Celebrate being super sellers while experiencing fun camp activities such as swimming, hiking, sitting around a campfire, and so much more!
Fund Your Fun! Cookie Dough and Gift Cards
Earn Cookie Dough or an Associated Bank Gift Card that you can use toward a camp session of your choice, shop merchandise, Council programs and events, destinations, or reimbursements for Girl Scout Silver and Gold Awards. The process is simple: set your sights on one or more of the programs to attend, set your cookie goal, sell sweet treats, then have a blast knowing you earned it! Keep an eye out in January for the Summer Program Book, which will be filled with tons of summer opportunities to choose from!
Troop Proceeds
| Per Girl Selling Average* | Troop Profit** |
| 1 to 149 boxes | $ 0.50 per box |
| 150 to 199 boxes | $ 0.60 per box |
| 200 boxes and above | $ 0.65 per box |
*Profit is determined by the troop’s Per Girl Selling Average (PGSA) on ALL cookies sold (both initial orders and secondary orders), which is calculated by taking the total number of boxes sold divided by the total number of girls selling.
**Troops who reached a PGSA of $165 during the 2011 Fall Product Program will receive an additional $0.03 a box in troop profit!
