The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting
With the release of the new journey this winter, It's Your Story, Tell It, there are now three complete journeys to choose from! To complete the package of new program materials the new The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting is coming this fall! FAQs About Girl's Guide To Girl Scouting
Coming Soon: The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting
The Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting is age-level handbooks for girls that include badge-earning activities and more, all in one place. The guides will debut in late fall 2011 and are designed to complement the journeys with activities that build specific skills, including badges. Content is being driven by input and feedback from girls and volunteers, as well as a respectful nod to the great traditions that are a part of our nearly 100-year-old legacy. Check out this video about the new Girls' Guide to Girl Scouting!
What should you do between now and fall 2011?
Help girls choose a journey. Check out the online Journey Maps link for inspiration and creative ways to consider how journeys and badges work together to ensure a great Girl Scout experience!
- Try a sample activity from the Girl's Guides! These are sample activities from the new books! Use the ideas on the activity form and have the girls write letters to themselves to be opened in the future. You can plan for the letters to be opened when they complete the next level of Girl Scouting!
