PARENTS

Who do you want the girl in your life to become? Whether she is 5 or 17, you want her to become self-confident, strong, and compassionate. You want her to respect herself and others, make good decisions, to be open to new challenges, and use her skills and talents to make her world a better place. You want her to build strong friendships, be a leader, and put her values into practice everyday...

Social pressure, image issues, and global uncertainty - there are so many potential hurdles to girls' well-being. For almost 100 years, Girl Scouting has been helping girls realize their full potential and everything that we offer today is more relevant than ever.

The Girl Scout program is based on the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and a program that encourage girls to:

  • Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge and skills to explore the world.
  • Connect: Girls care about, inspire, and team with others locally and globally.
  • Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.

You play an important role in Girl Scouting as well.
Your involvement and encouragement will help shape your daughter's experience in Girl Scouting! From registering and helping at a troop meeting or program, to making a financial contribution, to becoming a volunteer yourself, there are so many ways for parents to support their girl’s Girl Scout experience.

Contact us at 888.747.6945 to find the troop or group nearest you. Feel free to browse our website to learn more about Girl Scouting and Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes!
