Day Camp

 Camp Winnecomac

Are you ready for an amazing camp adventure but not ready to spend a full week away from home? It’s time to go to day camp! Make friends, try something new, and go on an adventure – all at one amazing camp! Whether you want to shoot archery, conquer the low ropes course, or make lunch for your friends, our day camp experiences have it all. Camp Winnecomac is tucked away in the woods adjacent to a nature preserve in Kaukauna, WI.

Our day camps run each summer for girls in grades K-7. The programs span 1-5 days in length (Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.). One-Day sessions are available at Camp Nawakwa (Cornell, Wisconsin) too!

Week-Long Day Camp

A full week of day camp at Camp Winnecomac with an optional overnight camp sleepover on Thursday? What could be better?! 

Please note, swimming activities will be Wednesdays and parents are welcome to attend our  weekly Friday Open House at camp.

Sessions
For girls in Kindergarten through Second Grade

All Stars                                                                                                                Offered in weeks: 2, 3, 6, 7

Like to run around and try all different types of sports? Try a new game or activity each day while meeting new friends to play with.


Dabblers                                                                                                              Offered in weeks: 1, 4, 5, 6, 8

First time at camp? Explore everything at Camp Winnecomac: art, hiking, science, gaga balls, teambuilding games, and cooking lunch over the fire!


Ooey Gooey                                                                                                        Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 7

Get those hands messy with experiments that tease and astonish your mind! Blow up a volcano, make some crazy oozy-gooey slime, and more!


Pixie Hollow                                                                                                        Offered in weeks: 1, 3, 5, 8

Explore the enchanted forest and find the Pixie Hollow, make a wand or wings, and build the Pixie houses in our woods.


For Girls in Second through Third Grade

Adventure Seeker                                                                                    Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 7

There are so many amazing adventures waiting for you. So, hang on, jump in, and get ready to explore the great outdoors. Earn the Brownie Outdoor Adventurer Badge.


Art Attack                                                                                                      Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 5, 7, 8

Channel your inner artist as you decorate pottery at a local studio, make things with what you find outdoors, and get creative with paint. Earn the Brownie Outdoor Art Creator Badge.


Brownie Bakery                                                                                                  Offered in weeks: 3, 6, 8

It’s time to take over the kitchen! Try a new dessert, make your own candy, bake a cake in an orange peel, and take part in a bake-off.


Color Crazy                                                                                                Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 6

Compete in a mini-color fun run, learn advance tie-dying skills, cook the most colorful meal you’ve ever seen over a campfire, and more!


Mad Scientist Lab                                                                                            Offered in weeks: 1, 3, 5, 7

Strap on your goggles and try some awesome science experiments. You’ll launch soda geysers, volcanoes, and more. Earn the Brownie Home Scientist Badge.


Super G.I.R.L                                                                                                    Offered in weeks: 1, 6, 8

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes-discover your hidden powers of go-getter, innovator, risk-taker, and leader in this week of action-packed fun.


For Girls in Fourth through Seventh Grade

Artrageous                                                                                                      Offered in weeks: 1, 3, 4, 6

Design and build a mosaic, visit a local gallery of gems and minerals, and spend the week outside making art with what you find. Earn the Junior Outdoor Art Explorer.


Climbers and Crawlers                                                                                    Offered in weeks: 2, 6, 8

Explore caves, shoot down a zip-line, conquer a high ropes course, and then try archery and hiking back at camp!


Double Trouble                                                                                      Offered in weeks: 5, 7

Spend half of your week at Camp Winnecomac and then hop on the bus Wednesday afternoon for a two-night stay at Camp Birch Trails for the best of both camp experiences.


Kickin' It Campside                                                                                    Offered in weeks: 1, 3, 6, 8 

Hike over to Thousand Islands Environmental Center and put your mud boots on to squish through the creek, then bike around camp, and have an amazing lunch at a drive-in!


Outdoor Expert                                                                                     Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 8

Plan a camping adventure! You might watch a sky full of stars, cook a meal on a stick, or share silly stories around the campfire. And you’ll learn some new outdoor skills. Earn the Junior Camper Badge.


Pony Tails                                                                                                Offered in weeks: 2, 4, 6, 8

You’ll spend two days at the stables and the rest of your time at camp enjoying the woods with a little horse-themed flare!


Program Aide Training                                                                                    Offered in weeks: 3, 5

Learn how to lead camp activities, songs, games, and more! Then spend a night teambuilding with your fellow trainees! Once your week is complete, you’re ready to volunteer at camp. *To earn the Program Aide Award, you’ll need to complete volunteer hours at camp.


Trail Riders                                                                                                Offered in weeks: 5, 7

Join us at a local horse stable for a trail ride and then hop the bus on Wednesday to Camp Birch Trails to finish your week at overnight camp complete with two more stable sessions.

 Day Camp Before/After Care

Whether you are working early or working late, you don’t have to stress. You can drop your camper off as early as 7:30 a.m. and pick her up as late as 5:30 p.m.; choose however many days of before/after care is needed for just $3 per day! Before/after care is offered at Camp Winnecomac.
