Cultivating Your Career: A Leadership Mentoring Event
The “Cultivating Your Career Event” is a part of the Girl Scouts’ annual Leadership Mentoring Experience, focusing on cultivating, expanding, and excelling in all sorts of careers. The event will be held on Thursday, March 8, from 11:30am to 1:00pm at LaSure's Banquet Hall in Oshkosh. The event will begin with informal networking from 11:30am to 12:00pm, with the luncheon and panel being held from 12:00-1:00pm. We plan on having three panel speakers who will discuss their climbs up the corporate ladder – focusing on the struggles and obstacles they had to overcome to establish their careers. Our panelists are Jenni Molash, Ashley Foster, and Kim Molitor, who have very different, unique stories to tell about how they achieved what they have in their careers thus far.
Our intended audience are young professionals either entering or navigating through the work force. Cultivating Your Career will be marketed/advertised at local colleges and universities, young professional groups, through Heart of the Valley Chamber of Commerce, Fox Valley Chamber of Commerce, Oshkosh Area Chamber of Commerce, as well as local United Ways, among other groups. The audience is not restricted to just female young professionals, however (although, this is the audience we are anticipating)– the event is open to anyone (man or woman) who wants to learn more about excelling in the work place and climbing the corporate/nonprofit/for-profit ladder
