Volunteer Opportunities

Whether you’re a parent, a college student, or a professional looking for a great organization to volunteer your time, Girl Scouts can connect you with a mission worth pursuing! Girl Scout volunteers are essential to shaping fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, inspiring them to reach their personal best. There are a number of volunteer positions out there for you to choose from! How do you want to get involved? Contact us at 888.747.6945 to discuss local volunteer needs.

Serving a troop is a rewarding way for volunteers to aid girls as they learn and grow. There are some fantastic flexible troop options that work great for troop leaders and girls who have busy schedules.

  • Traditional troops (year-round)
  • Short-term troops (6-8 meetings)
  • Cooperative troops (shared adult leadership)
  • Special interest troops (focus on health and wellness, arts and culture, the outdoors and environment, etc.)
  • School-day troops (before school or during a lunch hour)

Other volunteer opportunities include working behind the scenes by helping your service area (specific geographical regions) through event planning, coordinating and managing the fall sale and Cookie Program, bookkeeping and records, recruitment support, and much more.

Each summer, we work closely with all kinds of volunteers who are dedicated to help make camp a positive, memorable experience for girls. Visit our Volunteer Connect website for more information on volunteering at camp.
