From its beginning over 100 years ago, Girl Scouts has provided more ways for girls to learn and lead than any other organization. Girl Scouts founder Juliette Gordon Low believed girls should have the same opportunities as boys to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. She encouraged new experiences that weren’t typically available to girls such as athletics, outdoor exploration, science, and government. Girl Scouts has a proud history of progressive thinking and diversity and inclusion.
