Little Dresses for Africa is a non-profit organization that distributes simple dresses made of pillow cases to little girls in Africa (and other countries!) to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy! These groups have made little dresses:

On their road to the Gold Award, Troop #4650 from Green Bay completed their Sisterhood journey and decided to make little dresses for girls in Haiti. While completing the journey the girls learned that sisterhood is a worldly connection between females when they relate to each other about similar experiences.

In this spirit, the girls invited women friends and relatives to help with the project and share in the experience of sisterhood. At times the girls felt frustrated with the sewing machines, but they were driven to finish the project by imagining the looks on the little girls’ faces when they receive the colorful dresses.

On an early release day, Girl Scouts from the Arbor Vitae Woodruff School District (near Minocqua, WI) made 15 dresses for little girls in Guatemala.
