| Council-Wide Programs |
Six Council-Wide Programs will be offered during the troop year. Each of the programs will focus on a topic that research shows that girls are interested in or want to learn more about. Most Council-Wide Programs are available to all girls, and sessions during the event are divided by grade level to ensure that each girl is participating in a program that will benefit her. Locations for some Council-Wide Programs to be announced. |

Girl University Rescheduled
After reviewing responses to a recent survey of teen girls and their troop leaders, we have decided to reschedule Girl University for next April in combination with the Leadership Conference. We received great input from more than 70 girls throughout our Council in which the girls seemed interested and excited about Girl University. They commented positively on the sessions offered, location, and the nightly entertainment, however, many girls expressed that they would be unable to attend due to the timing of the event.
Mark your calendars - Girl University will be a great opportunity for girls to develop essential leadership skills, and to develop personally and professionally. Through the surveys we were able to gain valuable input/feedback that we look forward to incorporating into the Leadership Conference as well as other older girl opportunities throughout the year. Thanks for your support, and please contact the Program Department if you have any questions! |
| Council-Sponsored Programs |
Council-Sponsored Programs will be held periodically throughout the year at varying locations. These programs will address topics such as health and wellness, camp and outdoors, leadership and adventure, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) and arts and culture. All programs are open to all girls in the Council, regardless of which Service Center you're nearest to, so check other locations for programs that may interest you.
