portable Programs

Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes offers portable programs to troops to use in the way that works best for them…troop overnights, meetings or as a service project.  Portable Programs come with nearly everything you need to carry out fun and informative programming to girls to help them Discover new things, Connect with each other, and Take Action on issues that are interesting to them.

Using Portable Programs
Whether you’re planning a troop overnight, thinking of upcoming meeting ideas, or if you have a group of teen Girl Scouts who want to implement programming for younger Girl Scouts, you’ll want to take a look at Portable Programs!

Have your girls discuss the different Portable Programs and come to a consensus on the ones they want to try. You will have the kit for two weeks – plenty of time for you and your group to go over the activities before doing them. At any grade level, girls can be a big part of this planning process to ensure they are receiving the type of programming they desire. After you complete the activities in the kit, think of the ways you can carry out what you’ve learned in a new and exciting service project!

Reserving Portable Programs
To reserve a Portable Program Kit, first call 888.747.6945 to check for availability. Then, complete the reservation form. Mail the form along with the payment fee to the Eau Claire Service Center, 4222 Oakwood Hills Parkway, Eau Claire, WI 54701. The program kit will be available for pick up from your nearest Service Center. The kit must be returned to the Service Center two weeks after your reserved pick up date.
