CAMP DEL O'CLAIRE

Located in the Village of Weston, WI, and bordered on the south by the main tributary of the Eau Claire River, there are plenty of woods to explore at Camp Del O'Claire (CDOC). The camp is located next to Yellow Banks County Park, which has a large field and playground equipment. One lodge is available for overnights while there is another lodge available for day use; tents are also available. A nature center also adorns CDOC along with some camp sites. During the winter months, a limited number of snowshoes are available for use.

Accomodations & Reservations
Girl Scout troops, Service Areas and other Girl Scout groups are welcome and encouraged to utilize all of the fantastic GSNWGL properties. See Section F of The Source for details and guidelines. Summer Programs
CDOC offers day camp sessions. 2010 Summer Camp sessions run from July 19-August 13, 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Girls provide their own lunch most days. Two daily snacks, some meals, and all materials and supplies are included in the cost of camp sessions. Sleeping accommodations for the two-day programs include Alexander Lodge and/or tents. Overnight is optional. Additional information will be provided upon registration.

Program Aide Opportunities
Have you completed Program Aide training? Would you like to volunteer at camp? There are plenty of Program Aide opportunities available for you throughout the summer. Become a leader at camp by helping the counselors lead activities, teaching songs, working one on one with girls who need a little more assistance, and basically having fun! If you, or someone you know, is interested in volunteering at camp, call the Program department at 888.747.6945.

Dr. Dolittle’s Interns

Calling all animal lovers! Learn about animals – big and small, wild and domestic. Visit with experts who will teach you how to care for animals in the wild and at home. Make a difference by helping with a service project to benefit the local humane society.

Explore the Dells

Spend a day at Mt. Olympus Theme Park. Lose yourself in an ancient world as you brave four thrilling lands, thirty-seven steep and slippery slides, six hair-raising roller coasters, eight curve-hugging go-kart tracks, and a titanic array of attractions, wet and dry. Bus will leave Camp Del O’ Claire at 7 a.m. sharp and will return at 5 p.m.

Giddy Up

Spend a day at a local stable and learn how to take care of horses and ride for two hours. This is a great memory-maker for girls who love horses but don’t have a lot of experience yet, or for those that have done it all and just want more time around horses. Will be held at Blue Haven Stables, Merrill , WI

Horse Mania

If you love horses, you’ll love Horse Mania! Spend the day at a local stable to learn all about horses and how to take care of them. Try the basics of riding during your two hours of riding time! This is a great stepping stone for girls who want to try out the Camp Birch Trails horse camps. Will be held at Blue Haven Stables, Merrill , WI

Pizza Party

Do you like pizza? Try all kinds of pizza: breakfast, veggie, white sauce or fruit. Create your own masterpiece pizza recipe by selecting your favorite ingredients.

Rebel with a Cause

Want to bend some camp rules and do some things you’ve always been asked not to do? Stay up late, raid the kitchen, and sleep in! Don’t worry, you’ll still get to do all your favorite camp things, but it will be totally planned by you.

Splish Splash

Get Ready, Get Set, Get WET! If you enjoy water games this camp is for you. Go to a nearby water park one day where you’ll have wet and wild fun!
