http://www.gsnwgl.org/news/articles/2013/02/18/girl-scout-cookies-still-available.htmlFebruary 8 is National Girl Scout Cookie Day!Celebrate the world’s largest girl-led business on February 8, National Girl Scout Cookie Day!
Your support helps us spread the word that buying Girl Scout cookies is more than just handing over money for a box. It’s about the essential skills girls learn from interacting directly with you. It’s about the experience of running her own business and working with others. It’s the reason we don’t sell cookies online and why we encourage you to buy cookies from a Girl Scout. Your purchase means you get tasty cookies—and a girl learns a lifetime of skills.
Here’s what you can do to celebrate National Girl Scout Cookie Day:
Read up on how to buy Girl Scout cookies.
Vow to buy at least one more box of your favorite Girl Scout cookies to enjoy now, stash away for later, give to friends, set out for guests, and more.
Place an order for our tasty new cookie, Mango Crèmes!
Look for the one-day-only GSUSA Facebook contest on February 8 and follow GSNWGL’s Facebook page all day for National Girl Scout Cookie Day posts.
Tell us on Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram why you'd recommend buying #onemorebox using the hashtag so we can track it!
Don’t know a Girl Scout? Call our Cookie Hotline (800.246.4171) and we’ll connect you with one in your area.

The girls from Troop 2262 in Appleton, WI produced this cookie commercial to help get the word out about all our delicious varieties. With some help from JKreitz Productions, this girl-led effort had them plan, make relevant visuals, decide on a message and a theme, and taught them how production and green screens work. Remember Girl Scouts take cookie orders through March 1 and cookie booth sales occur March 1-24. Contact your local Girl Scout today!

Join with us to Lift Her Up to opportunities for leadership skills that will last a lifetime.
Currently, programs for girls make up just 7.5% of philanthropic dollars, yet investing in girls produces the greatest return in economic development, social progress, and public health… because when girls succeed, so does society. The fun, multi-faceted Girl Scout Leadership Experience that empowers and connects girls costs GSNWGL $350 per year, per girl. About two-thirds of that cost is defrayed by the Girl Scout Cookie Program and Fall Product Program, leaving $129 to be raised through generous supporters like you.
In 100 years, Girl Scouts has thrived as vibrant, increasingly diverse, and strong girl-led organization. We ask you to partner with us, and invest in every girl’s dream. Please donate today and help us Lift Her Up!

In partnership with Greater Fox Cities Area Habitat for Humanity, volunteers broke ground on June 19 at the single-family home being constructed in Menasha, WI. With the help of Girl Scout staff, volunteers, older girl members, community partners, and Habitat for Humanity volunteers, the home will be constructed all summer and completed in September 2012. The build is made possible by a full house sponsorship from the John J. and Ethel D. Keller Fund at the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley. Additional funding for GSNWGL’s involvement in the build comes from our Gold Level Sponsor, Associated Bank.
Plenty of opportunities for volunteer support are still available. Click here for a complete listing of available opportunities, and visit our Girl Scouts: Building Leaders page for photos of the build progress.
Additionally, our staff, volunteers, and girls in the Schofield, WI area are working on a playhouse build with Habitat for Humanity of Wausau. Work began June 19 on the playhouse for a Habitat for Humanity home being constructed in Schofield. The playhouse build will be completed on June 26. Volunteers are constructing the playhouse at the Girl Scout Service Center in Schofield, and it will be moved to the home site upon completion.
