Camp Registration

To register your camper for camp you must have a ‘My GS’ account

If your camper is a currently/2021 registered Girl Scout you will already have an account with your email address.

If you do not know the password, simply click the ‘Forgot Password’ and reenter your email address during the login portion.

If you enter your email and it shows a ‘There is no user with that username or email’. You will need to create an account for yourself and include your camper in order to continue registering for camp.

How to create a ‘My GS’ account: Go to activities list and click on the program your camper would like to register for, it will prompt you to create an account.

In the search function of my gs click ‘Find Events’

Registration open dates:

February 16 for Camp Birch Trails: Three-day, One-, Two-, & Three-Week sessions

February 23 for Camp Winnecomac: Weekday sessions

March 2 for Weekend/Troop Programs and Summer Thing at Camp Nesbit

Deposits, cookie dough, payments:

Programs that are $120 or less require payment in full at the time of registration. For programs over $120, or if financial assistance is requested, a $50 deposit must be paid at the time of registration.

If your camper earned 2021 Fall Bucks, 2022 Cookie Dough, or a Camp Certificate during the Girl Scout Cookie Program, still sign up for camp when registration opens. Camp fills quickly – you’ll need to secure your camper’s spot by registering and putting down your deposit BEFORE Cookie Dough and Camp Certificates arrive. Once your camper receives their Cookie Dough or Camp Certificates, they can email to apply them to their camp fees. If the amount of Cookie Dough used, plus the amount of the deposit, exceeds the total cost of your camp fees, you will receive a refund for the overage.

Due to the volume of these requests, it may take up to four weeks to receive your refund. Invoice reminders will be sent via email prior to camp. Payments must be made in full before campers arrive at camp.

Final Payment for Camp

Due date for final payment is the Wednesday prior to camp session start date. Any registrations after June 1 will require payment in full at time of registration.

Reminder emails for final camp payments will be sent out 120, 90, 60, 30 -days and two weeks prior to due date.

Full payments must be made prior to camper arriving at camp.

Financial Assistance

Cost should never be a barrier to attending Girl Scout camp. Our Council provides financial assistance to those in need. If you are able to pay a $50 deposit, register online and request financial assistance to cover a portion of your camp fees. If you are unable to pay a $50 deposit, please contact us at 888.747.6945 or to register.

Discount for Multiple Sessions:

We offer discounts to campers who sign up for multiple camp sessions (one- or two-week sessions only). For any sessions after your first one- or two-week session use code, DOUBLEFUN2022 to save $20.

Not valid for troop programs. Only for individual camper use, cannot be used when registering additional campers/family members.

Cancelations, Refunds, and Waitlists

Cancelation & Refund policy

We have relaxed our policy to ensure your campers safety at camp.

Requests for refunds/cancelations due to communicable illness-diagnosis, quarantine or symptoms (Lice, COVID-19 etc.) or medical emergency will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact us with any questions at 888.747.6945 or

Requests for refunds/cancelations for other situations we request at least two weeks’ notice, submit in writing to

All camp sessions are subject to cancellation or rescheduling by GSNWGL. If a session is canceled by GSNWGL, and the camper is unable to attend an alternate session, all fees will be refunded, including any deposit made.

Refunds will be issued in the same form as they were paid. If a payment was made in cash, refunds will be issued in check form. Registrants must be paid in full 30 days prior to camp. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations received less than 30 days prior to a camp session. Exceptions may be considered for emergency situations only.

No refunds will be made for campers who arrive late, leave early, attend only part of the program, fail to show up, or for those who are asked to leave because of behavior issues. If a participant is sent home, transportation is to be proved by the parent or guardian.

Waitlist for Sold Out programs

Once a program is sold out online we cannot immediately add a girl to the program. We base capacities on housing/beds that are available, girl to adult ratios and whether that program has a field trip outside of camp and how much room we have in vans to transport the girls.

If a program is sold out online, we encourage your camper to find another program with an open space available for their age group.

Each camp program will have a waitlist available after the session has filled. Please note that to join the waitlist, you must pay the $50 camp deposit. If space become available, you will be automatically added to the camp session and can pay your remaining balance. If space does not become available, your deposit will be refunded. Due to the volume of requests, it may take up to four weeks to receive your refund.

Members from Other Girl Scout Councils

Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes camps and events are open to all Girl Scout members, including those from other councils. Members from other councils can register through their own ‘my GS’ account. They do not need to call our council office to register. If you have questions please call 888.747.6945 or

We have Cookie Credit reciprocity with many sister councils but are unable to offer any financial assistance to members coming from other councils to our events or camps.

All Girls Welcome

Q: Can I go to Girl Scout camp if I'm not a Girl Scout?

A: Yes! You don’t have be a member of a troop to go to Girl Scout camp! All girls are welcome to have a wildly fun summer with us. Those who haven’t already joined Girl Scouts will need to become registered members through the camp sign up process in My GS. This will be an additional $30 fee to become a Girl Scout member.


Q: Should I pick sessions based on the grade my girl just finished or is going into?

A: Session grades reflect the grade your girls is going into, in the fall school year.

Can parents attend?

Q: Can parents attend camp?

A: Only on weekend programs during the Outdoor Extravganza/Adventure Weekends.

We have highly trained staff to lead them in their camp experience.

Even though Troop weekends have traditionally been for Troops, this is a great time for caregivers to take their daughter to camp and experience it together. Outdoor Extravaganza’s or Outdoor Adventure are great options if a parent wants to attend camp with their daughter/child. Please note: All adults who attend camp must be registered adult Girl Scout members with a complete background check on file. Adults who do not register and go through the background check process will not be able to attend camp.

To attend a weekend program you do not need to be a part of a troop.

Lost and Found

At camp we have a bin of items that have been left behind. We will keep these items until the end of the summer and sort out the items camper could use again (raincoats, flashlights, etc.) and donate the rest.

Campers are encouraged to look in our lost and found bins at the end of each week they are at camp. Camp Staff will also show everyone in camp what is in the bin in hopes of reuniting campers and with their things.

Please be sure to label ALL items with your campers first and last name so we can be sure to get them back to her during the week.

Trading Post & Pre-purchased Camper Care Kits, T-shirts, and Sweatshirts

Want to take your camp love home with you? Our Trading Posts are filled with toys, cuddly buddies, cozy shirts, tie dye swags, jewelry, goodies, stamps, snacks and more! Trading posts will be stocked with the latest in summer fun so be sure to send your camper with a few extra dollars in her pocket to spend at the Trading Post. Souvenirs range from $1-$30 and apparel is $18-$40. Most campers bring $10-$50 with them. Camp Birch Trails sell snacks and drinks during the week for girls.

Trading post funds can be purchased at the Trading Post when you drop your camper off (any dollar increment you choose). During camper check-in parents should bring an envelope with their campers’ cash, Cookie Dough/Fall Bucks, check or credit card to put money on her account. Fall Bucks and Cookie Dough can be also be used at the Trading Post - campers must come with their Cookie Dough and Fall Bucks information in order to redeem it.

Please note, after your camper’s time at camp, any unused trading post balances over $5.00 will be refunded in cash and sent home with your camper and any unused trading post funds in an amount under $5.00 will be donated to the GSNWGL Camp Financial Assistance Fund.

When is it open?

At Camp Birch Trails-Our trading post is open during arrival and departure of campers each week. And during the week each camper group will sign up for several visits to the trading post to shop for items they may choose. Campers are responsible for the items they purchase to be brought home at the end of the week.

At Camp Winnecomac-Our trading post is open for schedule times during the week for campers. Parents will receive a note home telling them which days their campers will shop in Trading Post

At Camp Nawakwa and Camp Sacajawea during troop programs there will be scheduled times for trading post to be open.

Pre-purchased items ordered during registration-Camper care kits, t-shirts & sweatshirts

Parents can pre-purchase a camper care kits, t-shirt and sweatshirts at the time of registration. If pre-purchased, they will be given to your camper shortly after arrival to cam
