Happy Camp'IN

We are busy planning an amazing summer of outdoor fun for EVERYONE. Better yet it is totally FREE! This summer our Camp Director, Puck, is cooking up amazing experiences for each grade level that will give them all of the camp vibes they are missing. We might even share the recipe for camp’s famous oatmeal bake!

If you have been participating in our Girl Power Half Hour events, our camp programming will follow a similar structure with registration by grade-level so that everyone will have something fun and age-appropriate to join in on all summer!

We will have a sneak peek of what the girls will be doing the week of June 8 and then run weekly meetings from June 15 to August 3, and we’ll even have some time to see our online Trading Post (Camp Store).

Happy Camp'IN FAQ

How will the meetings flow?

We will start each meeting with a quick intro/schedule, Girl Scout promise, go over Girl Scout Pillars and outcomes, talk about the Leave No Trace principle that you are going over that week, a hands-on activity, an activity to do at home later in the week, learn a camp song or sing along if you know, learn a camp tradition, view what is for sale in our Trading Post this summer online, and a closing.

Do I need to have a Zoom Account to participate?

No, once you register with your email for each session then you can just follow the link to join the meeting.

When do I log on?

Each session/meeting will begin promptly at the start time. The Zoom virtual meeting space will open 5-10 minutes before the event. Log on early to make sure you are set for the meeting.

I’ve heard of Zoom Booming by inappropriate people, will we be safe?

We have a zoom monitor at each meeting to make sure that only those supposed to be in the meeting are and to watch for any inappropriate behavior or chat. We do everything that we can to protect our girls, the reality is, is that something can happen. The monitor will handle it or shut down the call immediately if needed.

Can other girls who are not in Girl Scouts attend?

Yes! Invite your friends to join us in the fun this summer! They do not need to live in or be apart of our Council.

Does a parent need to attend every meeting?

Daisy: Please have an adult attend with your girl, for safety, technology, and to help her with her activities! And—you'll have some fun together!

Brownies: Parents, please help your child login and stay nearby to support her as needed. Please use your own discretion

Juniors and up: Parents, please help your child login, and be nearby for any issues that arise.

Do we need to pay for these programs?

NO! This is totally free for your family to join in our fun for the summer. All girls are welcome to attend.

Do we need supplies

You should receive a confirmation/email before the meeting in case there are supplies you might need to have ready for projects for that week.

We will try to keep supplies minimal and limited to things most families have around the house.

Is there a Trading Post?

Oh yeah!

We will be promoting our Trading Post options during each session for girls to be able to use their Fall Bucks and Cookie Dough!
