Since 1990, the month of November has been recognized as Native American Heritage Month. It is a month to celebrate and honor the more than 500 Native American tribes and communities across the United States. Join us at Girl Scouts in celebrating Indigenous cultures, learning about their history, and taking action.
There are many ways in which you and your Girl Scout can celebrate and honor this month-
Even though Native American Heritage Month is only one month, diversity and diverse perspectives can and should be celebrated and talked about all year. Girl Scouts can participate in all of the Multicultural Community Celebration patch programs throughout the year to start these conversations.
