GSNWGL’S Adventure Bound Crew is open to registered Girl Scouts in middle school and high school. We welcome their travel-minded caregivers, too! Our goal is to build traveler confidence, cultural awareness, and global connections through incredible domestic and international travel experiences. June 2027 - Belize

Costa Rica 2026 Recap
In June 2026, 9 girl and adult members of GSNWGL took a service learning trip to Costa Rica. Paired with a school group from Arizona, they were able to participate in a wide variety of activities and adventures. They started the week by planting 150 White Mangrove seedlings which provide wildlife habitat and erosion control, and then traveled by boat to harvest more seed pods and planted them in recycled containers to be ready for a future group to plant. They also spent time at a local school getting tours from the schoolchildren, visiting classrooms and the student-run farm, and talking to the local kids about what their school and lives are like and sharing information about their lives in the U.S.. Other days included adventures in a national park, kayaking, hiking to a waterfall, and ziplining. Besides experiencing delicious local cuisine, they were able to visit a coffee plantation, a pineapple plantation, and make chocolate from cocoa pods. The final evening in Costa Rica included a wonderful meal and a show featuring local traditional dancers which a few of our travelers were able to participate in.
It was an amazing week of exotic flora & fauna, food, culture, and adventure, all in a country with breathtaking scenery and a glorious tropical climate.
London and Paris 2025 Recap
Over the course of two trips, a total of 114 Girl Scouts took on London and Paris, and what an adventure it was! From the bright lights of Piccadilly Circus to the amazing views atop the London Eye, we explored both the past and present beauty that London has to offer.
Then we hopped on the Eurostar to take the train to Paris, where we saw the iconic Eiffel Tower, experienced the decadence of Versailles, and gazed upon the Mona Lisa herself at the Louvre.
We celebrated our adventure by spending our last day together at Disneyland Paris!
Italy/Austria/Germany 2024 Recap
Twenty-two travelers experienced three countries over the course of nine days on an epic European adventure!
We started in Italy and visited Rome, Pisa, Florence, and Verona. We got to see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and Juliet's balcony from Romeo and Juliet. We also visited Vatican City, the world's smallest country.
Then we traveled north to Austria and stayed overnight in the Alps in Innsbruck. We visited a castle and enjoyed breathing in the fresh mountain air.
The last leg of our trip took us to Germany where we had two days in Munich. We indulged in all the foods, music, and shopping unique to the area. We also visited Dachau, which was an incredibly poignant experience that moved us all.
Throughout all of the 575 miles we traveled in Europe, we learned about the culture and history of the cities we passed through. And we got to experience it together - as Girl Scout travelers!
Panama 2022 Recap
In the fall of 2018, we held our first recruitment meeting for our Panamá Council trip. Fast forward over two postponed and rescheduled trips, Covid contingency plans, cancelations, and so many Zoom meetings…here we are in 2022 and our trip FINALLY happened!
This trip was truly the experience of a lifetime for the 18 of us on tour. Many of our girls had never flow internationally before, had never been to a place where English is not the main language spoken, and hadn’t been on a long trip without their family. The amount of growth we saw in eight short days was so inspirational. We all arrived mostly as strangers but left as family – including some important friends we met along the way in Panamá!
Our goal of this tour was to expose girls to the history of Panamá, experience the biodiversity of the country, and truly immerse ourselves in the culture to learn how to become travelers and not tourists. And I’m happy to say we successfully completed all these goals and more!
Our location offered us urban and rural adventures – this was taken in Panamá City near the Panamá Viejo ruins.
