Adventures on the Go™ allows groups, troops, and service areas to participate in expert-led Girl Scout activities- no matter where you are. We can meet at a Girl Scout property or come to you with our Adventures on the Go™ mobile unit!

Activity and dates are based on staff and property availability. Most activities require a minimum of 10 paid participants. Groups may purchase unused spots or partner with another group to meet minimums. All activities require at least one adult chaperone from the troop. Chaperones attend for free.

Choose Your Own Adventure

Archery

Learn the skill of shooting with a bow and arrow, from stance to proper technique to the parts of the bow. Each participant will have the opportunity to shoot a bow with plenty of chances at a bullseye!
1.5-2-hour session
Levels: Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, Ambassador
Max capacity: 15 paid participants

- We come to you: Large field at least 200ft long (public parks, football fields, baseball fields). Requires permission from park/field managers.

Axe Throwing toggle arrow

Channel your inner lumberjack! Learn the technique of throwing axes and get a chance at hitting a bullseye!
1.5-hour session
Levels: Cadette, Senior, Ambassador

Boating

Choose between a canoe, kayak, or stand-up paddle board. Learn the proper paddling technique and take to one of our lakes! One adult chaperone must serve as a watcher on water.

- We come to you: Public lake or slow-moving river. Must be able to accommodate a large truck and trailer. Stand-up paddleboards only.
- 2 kayak seat adaptations to paddle boarding available upon request.

Join us for fun team-building activities at our High Ropes course. Each element brings a new challenge. Learn how to communicate and work together as a group.

Low Ropes

Join us for fun team-building activities at our Low Ropes course. Each element brings a new challenge. Learn how to communicate and work together as a group.

Learn how to move from point to point using a topographical map and compass!

Outdoor Cooking | Campfire toggle arrow

Enjoy a meal cooked over the fire! This experience will teach you how to build and light a campfire. Your group will cook a meal (main, side and dessert) on the fire. Learn the appropriate techniques for campfire cooking and cleanup.
2-3-hour session

Campfire Cooking Recipes

Outdoor Cooking | Camp Stove toggle arrow

Enjoy a meal cooked over on a camp stove! This experience will teach you how to safely use portable camp stoves. Your group will cook a main dish. Learn the appropriate techniques for outdoor cooking and clean up. Want to get the hang of your own camp stove? Feel free to bring it along!
2-hour session

Fun in the snow! Put on some snowshoes (provided) and join us for a fun hike.

Program Aide toggle arrow

Program Aide (PA) training prepares Cadette Girl Scouts (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) to work with children and adapt activities for special needs and situations. Cadettes will be ready to put their new skills to the test by completing hands-on activities that prepare them for real-life situations working with younger kids in troops, at camps, and at events. This training is tons of fun, and participants will leave feeling energized and ready to jump into a variety of leadership roles with younger Girl Scouts!
Extra details
- Because of the length and format of Program Aide training, we need a minimum of 20 paid participants.
- Plan to coordinate lunch for your group (you can cater or have participants bring their own sack lunches)
- Every participant will receive a Program Aide Kit and training materials
6-hour session
Levels: Cadette
Max Capacity: 30

- We come to you: Indoor or sheltered outdoor space with enough tables and chairs for the number of participants, plus a large open space for group games and activities. This training is fully “unplugged,” meaning we don't need access to A/V equipment or Wi-Fi.

Volunteer Training: Red Cross First Aid/AED/CPR Certification toggle arrow

Secure your Adult & Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED certification from the American Red Cross, which is the foundational safety course for all troop activity beyond the troop meeting room. Course is blended with some online instruction prior to in-person training.

USA Archery Level 1 course certifies volunteers to take Girl Scouts onto archery ranges for target sports practice. Course is blended with some online instruction prior to in-person training.

This hands-on course prepares volunteers to teach youth “The Girl Scout Way” of outdoor skills, including campfire safety, campfire cooking, outdoor dishwashing, basic knots, basic knife skills, and basic site safety.
