Training Opportunities
You want to see girls happy, confident, strong, and ready to succeed.
We want the same things for you as a volunteer! We know you’ve got a
lot of questions about Girl Scouts and we’re ready to help you along
the way. Your volunteer onboarding includes personal coaching, online
learning, and a searchable website to find what you need when you need
it.
Start your volunteer journey with online training
courses you can complete from home. Log into gsLearn from the MyGS tab
on our website menu. Other brief training courses cover troop
management tools, how to earn badges and awards, ensuring girl safety,
troop financial management, and more.
Special
certifications available include First Aider training for CPR/First
Aid/AED skills, Outdoor Education for campfire and outdoor cooking
safety, Cookie Program training for managing inventory and
recognitions, and Highest Awards training for coaching girls to earn
the most prestigious awards in Girl Scouting.
When you’re ready, join us for the trainings listed below, or take a look at our growing collection of presentation videos and online trainings. Check the calendar on the Activities tab to find the in-person trainings near you.

Outdoor Education Training prepares adults to teach campfire safety to girls, so they can build outdoor fires and sleep outdoors.

First Aider Training is an Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid/AED course valid for two years.

Archery Instructor Training certifies you to take girls onto archery ranges for target sports practice.

Fall Product Training is a great overview of our autumn chocolate and nut sale to get start-up troop funds at the beginning of the program year.

Cookie Training is held every January for Troop Cookie Managers to prepare for the largest girl-run business in the world, the Girl Scout Cookie Program.

Highest Awards Training gives you guidance to coach girls to complete the most prestigious Girl Scout recognitions: Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards.

Various rotating topics are occasionally hosted throughout the year, with topics from budgeting, to travel planning, to getting parents and caregivers more involved.
