Each year Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes awards regional scholarships to graduating seniors who exemplify what it means to be a Girl Scout and a scholar. Girl Scouts who apply need to have Girl Scout accomplishments of note, such as becoming a program aide or camp counselor, facilitating a major service project, earning high awards, and take part in notable volunteer community service activity.
Girl Scouts who have have earned the Gold Award, and reside in our Central or Appleton regions (served out of the Wausau or Appleton Service Centers) were also considered for the Richard J. Leonard Scholarship.
