Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Welcomes Katy Corey, New Chief Development Officer

After fifteen years, Katy Corey is excited to return to the Fox Valley to unleash the G.I.R.L. as the Chief Development Officer.

Katy most recently served as the Director of Development, Leadership, for the United Performing Arts Fund, guiding leadership donor and volunteer initiatives. In 2021, the UPAF Team raised more than $10M, supporting 40 performing arts organizations in Southeastern Wisconsin, which includes the Milwaukee Ballet, The Rep, First Stage and the Florentine Opera.

Prior to UPAF, Katy was the Development Director at Horizon Home Care & Hospice, the Director of Collaboration for a local Milwaukee start-up, and served two years as a Municipal Development Specialist with the Peace Corps in San Juan Guatemala. She also performed as an Improv Performer during her college years at Marquette University and is considered a legendary Residential Camp Counselor at Camp Tekawitha.

A few of Katy's hobbies include gardening (she loves Dahlias and Zinnias), engaging in thoughtful conversations and exploring the beauty of our planet both regionally and internationally. Katy and her husband, Christopher, can't wait to return to the Appleton Area to reconnect with family, friends, and start a new chapter.

“I am thrilled to begin a new adventure with the Girl Scouts of Northwestern Great Lakes, serving as Chief Development Officer,” said Kati. “The opportunity to work for an organization that empowers young girls to become leaders and shatter glass ceilings is what I am meant to do! I already feel like part of the Girls Scouts Family and can’t wait to work together to raise important funds for our mission and continue doing what I love most: tell stories that get communities engaged in service and giving!”
