Daisies: Discover Math in Nature at Heckrodt Wetland Reserve!
Girls who attend this event will get a fun introduction to the Math in Nature badge series. They'll explore the outdoors while identifying shapes and patterns in nature, practice measuring size and quantity of natural objects, and create a nature-inspired craft using patterns. It's a hands-on way to see how math is all around us—especially in the great outdoors!
During our time together, we will sample activities Girl Scouts do with their troop! This event is one of a series of events. Come to one or all that work for you! Activity themes include STEM, nature & outdoors, arts & crafts and games. This event is for any current 4K, 5K, and 1st grade girls who will be in kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade in the Fall, are new to Girl Scouts, and register as a member. If you are a current Girl Scout, you can attend too, just bring a non-Girl Scout friend along! More information on how to register as a member, along with an official confirmation with additional event details, will be sent after you RSVP. Please fill out the RSVP survey below. Click all the dates and times you can attend. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off.
