At Girl Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes, we are committed to creating spaces that will open doors to enriching experiences for our members. As we continue to improve our camps and Girl Scout Centers, we’re focused on enhancing the Girl Scout experience through a refreshed property vision. With the support of our donors, we’re making strides to offer diverse, accessible, and inspiring spaces where Girl Scouts can learn, grow, and connect with one another and the world around them. Our vision includes increased staff-led programming, accessible outdoor experiences, progressive indoor and outdoor sleeping accommodations, and fully equipped maker and troop spaces. Together with our donors, staff, Girl Scouts, volunteers, and community members, we’re creating properties that elevate every Girl Scout’s journey—spaces that make a lasting impact and prepare the next generation of leaders. We have created special Wish Lists for both Camp Birch Trails and our Reaching Out Programs, which make an incredible impact on our Girl Scouts! These lists include items that help create meaningful camp memories, support outdoor adventures, and ensure girls have the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive. With 35 acres to explore, Camp Del O’Claire provides comfortable accommodations for our staff and troops to conduct meetings, spend overnights, and adventure outdoors. Camp Del O’Claire is bordered by the Eau Claire River and near Yellow Banks Park, allowing us to imagine access to the river for an ADA-compliant kayak launch, a low ropes course, and platform tents!

Northeast Girl Scout Center & Camp Pow-Low - Gwinn, MI
NORTHEAST GIRL SCOUT CENTER & CAMP POW-LOW
911 East Airfield Road, Gwinn, MI 49841
GSNWGL's Northeast Girl Scout Center & Camp Pow-Low in Gwinn, MI, features 1,200 feet of frontage on tranquil Mehl Lake with canoes, kayaks, rowboats, and a swim area with large dock, providing access to adventure on the water! Facilities include a large, heated, newly renovated lodge, a new shower house, platform tents, an Adirondack cabin, and a pavilion, all surrounded by numerous hiking trails. Girl Scouts have shared that they would like improved access to Mehl Lake with an ADA-compliant kayak launch, an archery range, and updated low ropes course. In 2025 and beyond, we look forward to enhancing our waterfront area with a new fire ring and seating, parking upgrades, and storage areas for equipment.

Camp Birch Trails - Irma, WI
CAMP BIRCH TRAILS

Camp Birch Trails (CBT) is GSNWGL’s flagship camp proudly boasting 240 acres and access to a private lake. CBT currently features a main lodge with sleeping accommodations, platform tents, a beautiful yurt village with pavilion, a large dining hall, and a swimming area with sandy beachfront and large dock overlooking tranquil Lake Olivotti. Winter provides additional adventure with snowshoe rentals available to explore the groomed trails and a sledding hill. We invite you to join us by investing in the installation of a new cooking fire ring in the yurt village, updating our staff living quarters and camper accommodations among other priorities in our vision for many years to come.

Conveniently located on the outskirts of Wisconsin Rapids, Camp Sacajawea provides access to a small private lake, creek, treehouse platform, and hiking trails. Camp Sacajawea also has two lodges, a program center, heated cabins, and tent sites perfect for hosting troop gatherings, and imagining space for a maker’s space! With your donation, campers can look forward to overnights in new platform tents, a new bridge over Two Mile Creek and housing for an Environmental Education Director!
