Make your community a better place
It all starts here. Juniors team up with fellow Girl Scouts to explore their community, discover a need or issue they care about, and work together to address it. It’s a chance to create a plan and make an impact on the community they live in.
You can become a Bronze Award Girl Scout if you:
- Are in fourth or fifth grade
- Are a registered Girl Scout Junior
- Have completed a Junior Leadership Award or Junior Journey

Highest Award Prerequisites
Our Council Expectations
- At least one adult is expected to read the Girl Scout Bronze Award Guidelines for Girl Scout Juniors document.
- Submit your project proposal (required) to info@gsnwgl.org at least two weeks before your proposed start date.
- Council staff will review each proposal to ensure it meets the standards of the Bronze Award and offer feedback to Bronze Award teams. Don't start your project before receiving council approval.
- If securing additional funds is part of your Bronze Award project, review our money-earning guidelines and submit the Money-Earning Application to Council BEFORE hosting your money-earning event.
- Submit your final report to info@gsnwgl.org after your project completion (but no later than September 30 after you complete 5th grade). To be included in the council's annual recognitions, submit your final report by March 1.
